Job summary

Keywords Studios (Descriptive Video Works) is seeking a proactive Project Manager to oversee the full production lifecycle for DVW projects. This remote role includes coordinating writers, narrators, and mixers, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting client communications across time zones.

Ideal candidates have solid project management experience; knowledge of audio description is a plus. Occasional travel to live events and occasional LA/NYC studio visits may be required.

Descriptive Video Works now has an exciting opportunity for an organized, proactive Project Manager to join our team. Fully remote—with occasional travel for live events (additional consideration given to candidates able to commute to our LA or NYC studios as needed) —you will oversee the full production lifecycle, managing project scheduling, technical workflows, and quality control alongside our clients, writers, narrators, and audio mixers.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience, crisp communication, and a solution-oriented mindset. General Responsibilities

• • Liase with clients concerning receiving, scheduling, approving, updating, and supporting DVW projects.
• • Schedule and/or coordinate scheduling DVW projects and staff including writers, narrators, and mixers. This
• includes receiving and quality checking materials from clients, then getting materials to writers and mixers.
• • Deliver final materials to client. Utilize upload/download/preview services as necessary.
• • Work with Client Services Manager to assist in project organization - getting and/or keeping projects on track,
• scheduling, and monitoring and reporting on project progress to involved parties.
• • Respond to client technical and scheduling questions where required.
• • Supply client with narrator sample and draft scripts for approval when requested.
• • Manage back-end systems for client specific applications.
• • Manage Live Audio Description Events from inquiry to delivery.
• • Source remote equipment when needed.
• • Collaborate with clients on venue set up and technical limitations.

Project Management

• • Maintain schedule on a daily basis and send billings to accounting. Respond to billing questions.
• • Transcode projects and send out updated/revised proxies as necessary.
• • Coordinate reports and/or paperwork through the production chain.
• • Assist in ensuring DVW Project Quality Control guidelines are met including making/revising/updating
• applicable quality control and other reports.
• • Coordinate and solve problematic and challenging project issues such as additional QC research and
• coordination, proxy re-issue, follow-up and coordination, etc.
• • Coordinate and arrange CC, subtitling, etc.
• • Support Client Services Manager with the quoting processes.
• • Input required data into Project Management System. Run appropriate reports to understand business
• gaps and make recommendations as necessary.
• • Manage the Change Order process when DVW projects change.

Support

• • Be willing to work flexible hours occasionally to take care of client and internal issues including providing
• technical support for writers and sending AD or DV to clients in the evening or on a weekend if necessary.
• • Upon completion of projects, archive on central server. Keep up-to-date records of what is archived and
• when it was archived. Implement, maintain and/or assist with DVW data backups.

Communication

• • Attend weekly meetings to update progress, discuss challenges, and input into strategy.
• • Project management experienced required; experience or knowledge of audio description a bonus.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
