Job summary

Millie and Severson is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Southern California to lead ground-up construction projects from inception through closeout. You will drive schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction while coordinating a team of subcontractors, consultants, and internal staff.

The role requires a track record of managing budgets and timelines, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of ground-up construction experience with a general contractor.
  • Tilt-up groundup construction and/or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated progression through a Project Engineer and/or Assistant Project Manager career path.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all phases of construction projects from startup through closeout.
  • Leading project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client communications.
  • Overseeing budgets, forecasting, change order management, and contract administration.
  • Driving project schedules and identifying opportunities for cost and schedule improvements.
  • Prepare and update master schedule.
  • Manage procurement and subcontractor performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risk.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Support and mentor Interns, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Promoting and enforcing Millie and Severson's safety culture.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

  • 6-10 years of ground-up construction experience with a general contractor
  • Tilt-up groundup construction and/or healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated progression through a Project Engineer and/or Assistant Project Manager career path
  • Strong tenure with previous employers
  • Strong experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout Southern California and our headquarters in Los Alamitos
