Job summary

Millie and Severson, a California-based general contractor, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from preconstruction to completion. You will manage schedules, budgets, quality, and client satisfaction while guiding project teams and maintaining relationships with clients and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of ground-up GC experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to travel to project sites across Southern

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of ground-up GC project experience.
• Tilt-up ground-up or healthcare project experience preferred.
• Progression from Project Engineer/Asst PM through career path.
• Strong tenure with previous employers.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to Southern CA sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from startup through closeout.
• Direct project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, change orders, and contracts.
• Drive schedules and seek cost/schedule improvements.
• Prepare and update master schedules.
• Manage procurement and subcontractor performance.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Lead project meetings and maintain client relationships.
• Mentor interns and junior staff.
• Promote Millie and Severson's safety culture.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you'll lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while driving schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing all phases of construction project(s) from startup through closeout
• Leading project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client communications
• Overseeing budgets, forecasting, change order management, and contract administration
• Driving project schedules and identifying opportunities for cost and schedule improvementsPrepare and update master schedule
• Manage procurement and subcontractor performance
• Identify and mitigate risk
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
• Support and mentor Interns, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers
• Promoting and enforcing Millie and Severson's safety culture

What We're Looking For

• 6-10 years of ground-up construction experience with a general contractor
• Tilt-up ground-up construction and/or healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated progression through a Project Engineer and/or Assistant Project Manager career path
• Strong tenure with previous employers
• Strong experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout Southern California and our headquarters in Los Alamitos
