Job summary

Spyglass MTG (Microsoft Technology Group) seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of Microsoft-based engagements for clients across industries. You will manage scope, schedule, resources, and budgets, and may perform BA or QA tasks as needed. Occasional presales support is encouraged.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in PM and 5+ years in consultative tech proyectos, with strong MS Project and Agile experience. Remote work is common, with office in Lincoln, RI.

Spyglass MTG (Microsoft Technology Group) is a Microsoft Managed Partner. We hire people who are professional consultants in addition to being highly competent performers in their specific discipline. As a Consultant at Spyglass MTG, you will be working on projects to implement Microsoft technology based solutions for a variety of clients in industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Higher Education. Our office is located in Lincoln, RI, however our clients are spread across the US and we primarily deliver work for them remotely.

As a Project Manager, you will lead and manage small to large scale projects that involve a variety of Microsoft technologies that are leveraged in our AI/Data and Security practice areas.

Requirements

Project Manager Expectations:

The Project Manager is a customer-facing role accountable for the end-to-end delivery of our engagements according to our client statements of work. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring on-time, on-budget, high quality delivery. The Project Manager will sometimes serve in the role of Business Solution Architect or Business Analyst, or perform Quality Assurance testing, therefore flexibility and a willingness to pitch in on a variety of tasks is important. Must also possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This role will also occasionally aid the presales process by lending project management expertise to opportunity pursuits and proposals.

Project Manager Basic Qualifications:

• An ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ experience most recently focused in project management and 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technology projects.
• Core project management responsibilities including the management of scope, schedule, resource, budget, communication, issues, and risks. Strong MS Project Skills and/or use of other PM tools such as MS Planner, AzureDevOps, GitHub, etc.
• Developing proposals, and / or statements of work
• Creating professional presentations including status reports
• Coordinating/scheduling and facilitating a variety of project meetings from project kickoffs to closure
• Managing in both waterfall and agile delivery environments
• Managing offshore resources
• Requirements gathering and documentation. Documenting gaps between current state and future state; writing use cases, etc.
• Assisting project QA resources with test planning and execution if / as needed
• Experience with Microsoft technology related initiatives
• Familiarity with AI tools for managing projects (e.g. Copilot) as well as AI tools leveraged in development process (e.g. GitHub Copilot)

Project Manager Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification or similar certification in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, etc.)
• Technical or Business Bachelor of Science degree
