Job summary

U.S. Bank Operations SEE team seeks a professional to design and deliver strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, risk management, and customer and employee experiences across Operations.

The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, leading initiatives end-to-end, upholding EE standards, governance, and strong partnership with senior leaders to drive financial and operational impact.

Responsibilities

  • Help execute initiatives in support of Bank Operations’ strategy
  • Lead each initiative through ideation, scoping, funding (CapEx and OpEx), execution, and benefit delivery
  • Design, execute, and deliver on initiatives
  • Utilize and propagate the EE standards for developing deliverables, managing projects, reporting progress, and managing risks and issues
  • Create relevant reporting to fulfill stakeholder needs
  • Provide governance for the initiatives
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior leaders, and key business partners
  • Support financial management of the initiatives
  • Contribute thought leadership to the broader EE team on the industry, Bank businesses, banking financials, strong consulting practices, analytics, etc.
  • Support shaping the vision, brand, strategy, and execution of the EE function itself
  • Participates in the identification, design, development and implementation of assigned projects. Interfaces with internal and external resources to ensure successful and timely completion in accordance with user needs. Participates in training users and evaluating the project. Manages performance of the project team and evaluates overall team performance

Job description

Operations Strategy & Execution Enablement (SEE) team for Bank Operations is broadly responsible for designing and delivering on strategic initiatives that improve our efficiency and effectiveness - expenses, risk, customer and employee experience, operational / productivity / quality metrics. Our work ranges from identifying and solving highly strategic complex problems within a few weeks to leading large multi-year projects with stakeholders across the bank.

As a member of the SEE team, you will work in a highly collaborative fashion with a large cross section of stakeholders, partners and other SEE leaders and colleagues. You will become a trusted advisor to the SEE leadership team and business partners across Operations. Reporting to a Portfolio Leader, you will manage and deliver strategic initiatives for Operations. These complex initiatives usually span business areas and stakeholders not only across Operations, but also across the bank. As part of a team of SEE practitioners, you will:

  • Help execute initiatives in support of Bank Operations’ strategy
  • Lead each initiative through ideation, scoping, funding (CapEx and OpEx), execution, and benefit delivery
  • Design, execute, and deliver on initiatives
