Job summary

Miller Stauch Construction, a family‑owned General Contracting and Design/Build firm in Kansas City, seeks a Project Manager to build strong relationships with owners and architects while maintaining project schedules, budgets and quality. The role requires 5+ years of construction experience and expertise in managing commercial projects.

Responsibilities include leading preconstruction efforts, managing subcontractors, overseeing budgets, and conducting weekly OAC meetings, with regular onsite

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relative experience in the construction industry.
• Experience on commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency with Timberline and Procore preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction efforts to ensure design, budget, and schedule are met.
• Lead preconstruction by takeoffs, estimating, subcontractor selection, and bids.
• Serve as the leader in a design-build effort.
• Oversee buyout and completion of subcontractor contracts.
• Review and manage project budget, costs, and financials for profitability.
• Create and manage construction schedule to meet deadlines.
• Conduct weekly OAC meetings.
• Conduct regular onsite visits to ensure quality.

Miller Stauch is an established, family-owned and operated construction company providing General Contracting and Design/Build services in Kansas City.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will build strong relationships with owners and architects while maintaining the project schedule, budget, and quality of construction.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction efforts to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and with the highest quality project to the client’s satisfaction.
• Lead preconstruction efforts by performing takeoffs, estimating, selection of subcontractors, and bid proposal submission to the owner.
• Ability to work as the leader in a design-build effort.
• Oversee the buyout process and completion of contracts to subcontractors.
• Review, monitor, and manage the project budget, construction costs, and other financials, resulting in the accomplishment of the project objectives and profitability.
• Create and manage a construction schedule to ensure deadlines are met.
• Conduct weekly OAC meetings.
• Conduct regular onsite visits to ensure the quality of the project.

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of relative experience in the construction industry

Qualifications

• Experience working on commercial construction projects
• Experience with Project Management tools Timberline and Procore preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
