Job summary

Renewyx is partnering with a growing design-build firm to lead a Construction Project Manager in Kansas. You will own projects from planning through handover, shaping budgets, procurement, and schedules, and negotiating subcontracts and change orders in collaboration with engineers and designers from day one.

You will manage mechanical and electrical scopes across commercial, institutional, or public sector work, with a focus on energy retrofit outcomes and lean practices.

Qualifications

• Strong background running construction projects with mechanical or electrical scope.
• Experience across commercial, institutional, or public sector work.
• Solid budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting skills.
• A recognized project management certification.

Renewyx is partnering with a growing design-build firm that's rethinking how energy retrofits get delivered, turning inefficient, aging buildings into high-performing, low-carbon spaces. They need an experienced Construction Project Manager to take projects from early planning through to final handover.

You'll carry real ownership here. That means shaping budgets and procurement early, keeping large, technically demanding builds on track day to day, and negotiating subcontracts and change orders directly, all while working alongside engineering and design from the outset rather than picking things up after the fact.

• Solid background running construction projects with mechanical or electrical scope
• Experience across commercial, institutional, or public sector work
• A sharp handle on budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting
• A recognized project management certification
• Exposure to design-build or integrated delivery models
• Some background in energy performance, commissioning, or lean construction practices
• Projects with a genuine environmental payoff, not just paperwork
• Base pay in the $120,000 to $150,000 range, plus bonus potential
