Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Project Manager for a prominent client in Indianapolis, IN. This onsite role supports PMO deployment activities and ensures the project management methodology is followed to go-live successfully.

You will coordinate with PMO leads, technical teams and partners, manage milestones, risk, and reporting, and drive governance and change control processes. This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension, requiring a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of PM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in IT Service Management / ERP / SAP / SAP HANA projects is a plus.
• Pharmaceutical environment experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and monitors execution of PMO activities across the delivery organization.
• Follows standard methodologies and governance to execute PMO processes.
• Drives PMO activities with PMO Lead, Deployment Leads, technical teams and partners to ensure successful delivery.
• Links milestones to the overall project plan and critical path to ensure go-live readiness.
• Collaborates with Wave PMO Lead to apply best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinates activities to meet milestones and support related projects needing PMO assistance.
• Maintains Change Control processes for responsible areas and ensures proper governance.
• Manages status reporting, risk, issues, assumptions, decisions, scope and project templates.

Job Description:

The purpose of the PMO / Project Manager role is to ensure that all PMO aspects of the Deployment are considered, understood, and followed. The PMO / Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the PMO deployment toolkit is adopted and all deliverables are completed. The PMO / Project Manager supports all aspects of Project Management for the project in managing and is accountable for owning the program management methodology and planning for the successful go-live of this deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Provides guidance, operationalizes and monitors the execution of work, constantly connecting our delivery organization.
• Follows company standard Methodologies and Governance and to execute PMO processes.
• Drives all key PMO activities associated with the project and works closely with the PMO Lead, Deployment Leads, technical teams, and implementation partner(s) to ensure successful delivery of the program.
• Incorporates and enhances functional/project specifics to ensure milestones are properly linked to overall milestones (critical path).
• Works closely with the Wave PMO Lead in ensuring best practices in project management are applied throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinates activities in order for the project and functional teams to meet established milestones, including any special related projects that need full PM assistance.
• Follows Change Control Process for the respective areas of responsibility.
• Drives reporting activities and provide accurate status updates and reporting.
• Execution of operational project management.
• Risk, Issue, Assumptions, Decisions Management and Scope management.
• Schedule Management.
• Management of Status & Progress Reporting.
• Project Templates and Documentation Management.

Required / Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• 5+ years’ experience as aProject Manager.
• Solid Project Management skills with a proven track record in the successful management of large project streams.
• Experience in large IT Service Management / ERP / SAP / SAP HANA projects experience a plus.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical environment is preferred, but not required.
