Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific seeks experienced Project Managers to oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of complex MILCON and commercial development projects for the Navy, Marine Corps, and supporting Commands. You will lead cross-functional teams from design through construction, ensuring plans, budgets, and contracts stay within scope and meet all criteria.

You will also manage design/construction contracts, lead A-E selections, and provide technical oversight and change-order reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture required.
• 4+ years of project management experience desirable.
• Professional Engineer or Architect license is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of complex projects from concept through completion.
• Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and oversight on scheduling, budgets, scope, and contract compliance.
• Direct the project design process to ensure plans, estimates, and specs meet criteria and stay within scope and budget.
• Manage design and construction contracts, oversee A-E selections, and review change orders and field execution.
• Serve as primary liaison with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and leadership; conduct site inspections and implement corrective pivots as needed.

Our Project Managers provide project management services, for the design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other supported Commands. You will be working on a variety of special projects and critical military construction (MILCON), and be involved in the demolition, maintenance, space utilization, and development of facilities.

As a Project Manager, you will:

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of complex, large-scale commercial development and construction projects, directing cross-functional teams from initial concept and design through completion.
• Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and operational guidance to project teams; serve as the final decision-maker on scheduling, multi-million-dollar budgets, scope definition, and contract compliance.
• Lead and manage the project design process, ensuring plans, estimates, and specifications conform to all criteria, remain within budget, and adhere to the authorized scope.
• Manage complex design and construction contracts, lead architect-engineer (A-E) selection boards, and provide technical oversight of construction execution, including problem resolution and change order review.
• Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, executive stakeholders, corporate leadership, and external regulatory bodies to mitigate risks and ensure legal compliance. Conduct regular site inspections to audit progress, verify field conditions, and implement pivot strategies for unforeseen challenges

Highly Desirable:

Professional Engineer License or Registered Architect License, and 4+ years of project management experience

Key Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
• A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
• Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
• Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
