Job summary

The LiRo Group in Hartford, CT is seeking a Project Manager to lead construction programs from concept through closeout, with a sharp focus on budget, schedule, scope and quality. You will coordinate a multi-disciplinary project team and communicate with Owners to drive successful, on-time outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in building construction, a valid engineering or CM credential (or ability to obtain), and experience reviewing design documents, conducting constructability

Qualifications

• Ten years or more in building construction with a strong track record.
• Ability to obtain professional credentials or CCM/PE preferred.
• Experience with design review, constructability, and value engineering.
• Willingness to commute to Eastern and Central CT sites.

Responsibilities

• Advise Owners on budgets, schedules, scope, and quality from concept through closeout.
• Lead project meetings, document minutes and follow up on items.
• Manage a project team including controls, schedulers, estimators and SMEs.
• Review design docs, conduct constructability reviews, and VE studies.
• Coordinate procurement efforts with designers, contractors, and 3rd parties.
• Maintain master budgets, cash flows, and EAC for owners.
• Provide technical evaluations and guidance on changes and delays.
• Communicate progress and advise on project strategy with clients.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. Responsibilities

• Advise and consult to Owners on their overall buildings project from conception through closeout with a focus on budget, schedule, scope and quality.
• Lead multiple project meetings, document minutes and follow up on open items
• Manage a project team comprised of project controls, schedulers, estimators, clerk of the works as well as subject matter experts
• Lead teams in the review of design documents, constructability reviews, and value engineering studies.
• Coordinate and lead designer, contractor and 3rd party procurement efforts
• Maintain master project budgets, develop cash flows and advise Owner on Estimate at Completion (EAC)
• Provide technical evaluations, advice, and guidance
• Review and advise on project change orders and assess impact of change requests or delays on the project schedule and budget
• Communicate project progress with clients; advise of needed project decisions and assist is overall project strategy.

Qualifications

• Resides in or around Central Ct (Hartford Area)
• Minimum of 10 yrs experience in Building Construction
• Certified Construction manager (CCM) or Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of CT preferred OR must have the ability to obtain when on board
• CT DOT Project experience is desired but not necessary
• Has a valid license and would be willing to commute to projects across Eastern and Central CT
• Knowledge of Compass and/or Astro Project Management software would be considered a plus.
• Ability to Pass a background check with the Dept. of Corrections (DOC)Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
