Job summary

Connexa Search Group in Greenville, SC is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate day-to-day execution on construction and installation projects, working with a Senior Project Manager and the Director of Construction.

This role keeps projects on scope, schedule, and budget while serving as the main liaison among internal teams, subcontractors, design professionals, consultants, clients, and utility representatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or two-year technical degree in CM/related field.
  • Experience in construction management or project lifecycle.
  • Comfortable with budgeting and invoice review.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organization.
  • Willing to conduct periodic site visits as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects to keep scope, schedule, and budget on track.
  • Define project milestones and deliverables and track progress across teams and partners.
  • Work with production and logistics to keep equipment and materials moving on schedule.
  • Track project budgets and review invoices and pay applications for accuracy.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, contractors, design professionals, consultants, and utility representatives.
  • Attend company, departmental, and project coordination meetings regularly.
  • Research site conditions and permitting requirements; conduct site visits as needed.
  • Support compliance with permitting, environmental, and development standards; coordinate interconnectivity and inspections.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, design professionals, and consultants day to day and track risk and mitigation steps.
  • Support procurement with subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and vendor commitments.
  • Maintain organized project files and prepare regular status updates on schedule, budget, and risk.

Job description

Commercial and residential construction projects move through this company from first concept to final walkthrough, and the project management group is growing to support a heavier pipeline of work. The team runs on established process rather than reinventing steps project to project.

The Role

The Project Manager coordinates day-to-day execution on construction and installation projects, working alongside a Senior Project Manager and the Director of Construction. This role keeps projects moving on scope, schedule, and budget, and acts as the connective point between internal teams, subcontractors, design professionals, consultants, clients, and utility representatives. The position is based out of the Greenville, SC office with periodic site visits, Monday through Friday, standard business hours with limited remote flexibility.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate planning, execution, and delivery of construction and installation projects to keep scope, schedule, and budget on track
  • Define project milestones and deliverables and track progress across internal teams and outside partners
  • Work with production and logistics to keep equipment and materials moving on schedule for shipping and installation
  • Track project budgets and review invoices and pay applications for accuracy before internal and client approval
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, contractors, design professionals, consultants, and utility representatives throughout execution
  • Attend company, departmental, and project coordination meetings on a regular cadence
  • Research site conditions, feasibility, and entitlement requirements, and conduct site visits as needed
  • Research zoning, land use, and permitting requirements, and coordinate documentation and submissions with consultants, engineers, and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Support compliance with permitting, environmental, and development standards, and coordinate utility interconnectivity and inspections with engineers and consultants
  • Coordinate subcontractors, design professionals, and consultants day to day, keeping communication clear and work aligned with project requirements
  • Flag project risks and issues to senior leadership and help track mitigation steps
  • Support procurement, including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and vendor commitment tracking
  • Maintain organized project files and prepare regular status updates covering schedule, budget, and risk
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or a two-year technical degree in construction management, civil engineering, real estate development, or a related field
  • Experience in construction management, commercial real estate development, project management, or engineering, with exposure to the full project lifecycle
  • Comfortable with project budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice review
  • Exposure to permitting, entitlement, or regulatory compliance work is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders at once
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including project status reporting
  • Comfortable in a structured, process-driven environment with established procedures
  • Willing to conduct periodic site visits as project needs require
