Job summary

Ascential Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI seeks an experienced Program Manager to own multiple automotive-electrical programs. You will translate objectives into milestones, lead governance reviews, and coordinate with engineering, operations, quality, and customers to keep programs on schedule and within budget.

You will mentor project managers, manage budgets and forecasts, and drive recovery plans as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 2 years' experience in the special machine industry as it relates to automotive
• Direct experience managing medium-to-large-scale cross-functional programs with a track record of bringing initiatives in on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost estimating practices and financial controls
• Excellent communication and follow up skills with both internal and external customers
• Knowledge of manufacturing and engineering methods in manufacturing design of custom machines
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• PMP Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead program kick-off, governance reviews, and ongoing status follow-up across multiple projects
• Communication of pertinent information to project team and customer
• Facilitate cross-functional reviews to align engineering, operations, quality, and customer expectations
• Monitor program schedules, budgets, resource needs, and interdependencies for alignment to plan
• Lead regular program reviews to assess performance, resolve issues, and maintain strategic alignment
• Develop and implement recovery plans for schedule, budget, scope, or resource variances across the program
• Guide project managers and functional leads in removing obstacles and escalating critical issues as needed
• Lead internal governance approvals and readiness reviews for major program milestones
• Lead customer and stakeholder reviews to confirm program progress, requirements, and acceptance criteria
• Coordinate with operations, supply chain, shipping, and field teams to meet overall program commitments
• Partner with finance and accounting to ensure accurate forecasting, invoicing, and financial reporting across the program

Pay will commensurate with experience: expected salary range of $75,000-$90,000
