Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Environmental Project Manager for our Denver, CO office, with a hybrid work model and options for Colorado Springs, Ft. Collins, or Glenwood Springs. The role focuses on environmental justice, remediation, and Brownfields projects, managing scope, budget, and client relations.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a relevant field with 4+ years of site investigation and PM experience, and a PE/Geologist license is preferred. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

  • BS in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field with 4+ years of site investigation, remediation, PM and business development experience or equivalent.
  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency.
  • Successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 15+ years of site investigation, remediation, PM, and business development (preferred).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Geologist (preferred).
  • Experience with Local and State Colorado regulatory agencies (preferred).
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (current) and PMP certification (preferred).

  • Oversees project management and establishes project-specific objectives.
  • Provides management and guidance to staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Engages clients regarding AECOM service capabilities and services.
  • Mentors staff and ensures projects meet specs, budget, and schedule.
  • Manages resources and communicates progress to stakeholders.

Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Environmental Project Manager for employment in our Denver, CO office. Imagine making a positive impact in your community while working on rewarding projects, such as environmental justice, remediation, or Brownfields projects. The role has a preference to be a hybrid work model and can be based out of Colorado Springs, Ft. Collins or Glenwood Springs, CO.

Responsibilities
  • Understands site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for our clients.
  • Responsible for the overall management of projects and establishing project-specific objectives.
  • Provides management and guidance to AECOM staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Engages existing and potential clients regarding AECOM service capabilities and services.
  • Provide mentorship to staff.
  • Oversees and delivers projects in accordance with specifications, budget, and schedule
  • May oversee and direct Project Managers with multiple projects.
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Supervise the management of all phases of projects.
  • Predict resource needs and manage resources effectively.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality control.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.Manage more complex clients and projects.
  • Consistently deliver profit margins as planned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • BS in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field, AND (4) Four + years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management and business development experience OR demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
  • Successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development experience.
  • Licensed (Professional Engineer or Geologist).
  • Experience working with Local and State of Colorado,regulatory agencies.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current).
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $90000 to $130000.
