Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an established surveying and geospatial firm to hire a Survey Project Manager in the Richmond/Glen Allen area. You will oversee land surveying projects from kickoff to delivery, coordinating field crews, CAD production, client communications, and QA/QC.

The role requires a current LS/PLS license or active LSIT with a path to licensure within 1–2 years, plus strong project management experience with ALTA/NSPS, boundary and topographic surveying.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an established surveying and geospatial firm seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager in the Richmond/Glen Allen area. This position will manage land surveying projects from kickoff through final delivery, including client communication, field and CAD coordination, budgets, schedules, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Manage survey projects from initial scope through final deliverables
• Oversee ALTA/NSPS, boundary, topographic, construction staking/layout, and related land surveying projects
• Coordinate field crews and CAD/technical resources
• Manage project schedules, budgets, scope, and profitability
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
• Review survey data, plans, plats, and deliverables for accuracy and quality

Qualifications

• Required: Current LS/PLS license OR active LSIT with ability to obtain professional licensure within 1–2 years
• Strong Survey Project Management experience with ownership of projects, clients, schedules, and budgets
• Hands-on background with ALTA/NSPS, boundary, topographic, and construction surveying
• Experience coordinating field crews and office/CAD production
• Strong knowledge of land surveying standards, procedures, and QA/QC
• Civil 3D/AutoCAD and modern survey technology experience preferred
