Job summary

Prescott Partners in the Kennesaw, Georgia area is seeking a Project Manager to plan, schedule, and manage concrete and asphalt paving projects from preconstruction through completion.

The role requires strong budgeting, coordination of crews and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and DOT standards. Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in concrete/asphalt paving or heavy civil construction required.
• Working knowledge of paving equipment, mix designs, and grading/drainage principles.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and DOT specifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and manage concrete and asphalt paving projects (parking lots, roadways, site development) from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and change orders
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries to keep projects on schedule
• Review plans, specifications, and mix designs for compliance with project requirements and local/DOT standards
• Serve as primary point of contact for owners, engineers, and inspectors
• Conduct quality control inspections (grading, compaction, thickness, finishing) and ensure compliance with safety regulations (OSHA)
• Track project progress, prepare status reports, and manage submittals/RFIs
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services
• Resolve field issues, weather delays, and scheduling conflicts proactively
