Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee smaller projects or portions of larger ones, ensuring schedules and deadlines are met. You will develop client relationships, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of experience, with strong skills in negotiation, communication, and financial analysis. This is a hands-on leadership position within a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

Position Details

• Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
• Develops budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders and other reports as necessary.
• Delegates work and serves as mentor to Project Engineers. Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
• Independently performs assignments with instruction only regarding general expected results. Consults with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments.
• Provides leadership to project team to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met. Trains and mentors less experienced positions.

Qualifications

Pay

Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For California this ranges from $118,119.00 - $144,368.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
