Job summary

A-C Electric Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex electrical construction projects from kickoff to closeout. You will manage budgets, schedules, forecasting, and procurement while building strong client and team relationships.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project management within electrical construction, with the ability to read drawings, review contracts, and coordinate resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• Five+ years of project management experience, preferably in electrical construction.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, forecasting, procurement, and change orders.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while building client/vendor/team relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, support business development, and manage profitable project portfolios.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager, your keyresponsibilities will be:

• Leading projects from kickoff through closeout, managingschedules, budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and overall financialperformance to ensure successful project execution.
  
• Building and maintaining strong client and teamrelationships by providing exceptional communication, leadingproject meetings, fostering collaboration, and supporting teamdevelopment throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Developing and executing project plans by reviewingdrawings, specifications, and contracts; coordinating manpower,equipment, materials, procurement, subcontractors, and projectdocumentation; and managing contract administration and changeorders.
  
• Driving operational excellence by implementing LeanConstruction principles, identifying opportunities to improvesafety, quality, constructability, productivity, and overallproject efficiency, and proactively resolving projectchallenges.
  
• Ensuring successful project delivery by maintainingcompliance with company standards, project processes, and safetyexpectations while supporting additional business and projectobjectives as needed.
  

Additional duties will include:

• Championing adherence to A-C Electric Company’s standards of quality, safety, and best practices from project turnover toproject closeout for project teams, ensuring company processes andprocedures are being followed across all project teams andverticals.
  
• Managing and presenting the monthly project review process with particular emphasis on financial forecasting, ensuring theproject budget is effectively managed and driving profitabilitythrough ensuring effective project execution.
  
• Reviewing financial aspects of contracts (progress billing,rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’sinterests and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with theclient.
  

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, CivilEngineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and/orexperience.
  
• Five or more years of project management experience,preferably within the electrical construction industry.
  
• Experience managing projects, including budgets, schedules,contracts, forecasting, procurement, and change orders.
  
• The ability to read and interpret construction drawings,specifications, and contract documents.

Pay Range: $125,000–$175,000 per year*

*This range represents the pay A-C Electric Company reasonablyexpects to offer for this position. Employment Type: Full-time

This position is typically scheduled 40 hoursper week. Start and end times may vary based on project, customer,operational, or site requirements, and additional hours may berequired to support project meetings, critical activities, deadlines,operational needs, or issue resolution.

This position requires up to 25% travel, primarily withinthe region to project sites, Company offices, client meetings, and otherbusiness-related locations. Regular operation of a company or personal vehicleis an essential function of this position.

The general work environment involves sittingfor extended periods, standing, walking, typing, and occasionallifting of up to 50 lbs. Work is conducted primarily indoors, andnoise levels are typically low to medium.
