Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in banking or regulated industries preferred.
  • Ability to elicit and document requirements and translate them for technical/vendor teams.
  • Experience managing third-party/vendor work and ensuring quality/outcomes.
  • Ability to implement repeatable, lightweight PM practices.
  • Comfort using AI and productivity tools to accelerate work with sound judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Ethical standards and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of cross-functional projects from initiation to close, managing scope, schedule, budget, and risks.
  • Elicit, document, and validate requirements; map processes; define acceptance criteria and Definition of Done.
  • Translate business needs for third-party providers and hold vendors accountable for quality and rollout.
  • Plan implementation, cutover, and handoff to operations; identify downstream impacts.
  • Create and apply a repeatable PM playbook across the portfolio.
  • Provide accurate status, milestones, dependencies, and risk reporting; support governance.
  • Ensure risk, information security, compliance, and third-party considerations are integrated.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate requirements, test cases, documentation, and reporting with professional judgment.
  • Mentor SMEs and support PMO development; perform other duties as assigned.

They will support strategic technology, product, and regulatory initiatives through disciplined project management practices. The Project Manager will define clear requirements and success criteria, ensure vendor accountability, and drive quality execution through implementation and rollout.ESSENTIAL DUTIESThe duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.Owns delivery of cross-functional projects across the full life cycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closing, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, and risks, and reporting real status with clear escalation of decisions and impacts.Elicits, documents, and validates business and technical requirements; map current- and future-state processes; ensure exception cases are covered; and define acceptance criteria, test coverage, and a clear Definition of Done so initiatives are delivered correctly and on time.Translates business needs into clear expectations for third-party providers, coordinate delivery against those expectations, and hold vendors accountable for scope, quality, testing, and rollout readiness.Plans and coordinates implementation, cutover, and handoff to operations, proactively identifying downstream impacts to other teams to avoid unplanned rework.Establishes and continuously improves a repeatable, lightweight project-management playbook, including scope, milestone schedules, status reporting, and change and decision logs, and apply it consistently across the portfolio.Supports portfolio governance by providing accurate status, milestones, dependencies, and risks; validate stage-gate and Definition-of-Done quality on projects led by others; and surface issues that require leadership attention.Ensures initiatives incorporate risk, information security, compliance, and third-party considerations, and that project artifacts meet regulatory and audit expectations.Applies approved AI tools to accelerate requirements, test cases, documentation, and reporting, directing the tools well and applying professional judgment to catch gaps and errors rather than relying on them for decisions.Models strong project-management practice for SMEs and future hires and act as a resource for the team, supporting the PMO’s development of internal project-management capability.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSThese specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Individual abilities and organizational limitations may result in some deviation from these guidelines.Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field required OR a combination of equivalent, relevant work experience along with a high school diploma or GED required.5+ years of progressive project management experience required, including at least 3 years leading complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end (owning scope, schedule, dependencies, risk, and rollout), with demonstrated business-analysis and vendor-management responsibility.Experience delivering projects in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry, or in a larger, more mature corporate environment with comparable rigor.Demonstrated ability to elicit and document requirements, define acceptance criteria and test coverage, and translate business needs for technical and vendor teams.Proven experience managing third-party or vendor-delivered work and holding providers accountable for quality and outcomes.Ability to create and apply repeatable, lightweight project-management practices, not only execute within an existing framework.Comfort using AI and productivity tools to accelerate project and requirements work, with the judgment to validate outputs and identify gaps.Effective in a lean, built-from-scratch environment; able to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority; strong written and verbal communication.Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and the ability to learn and utilize custom banking systems and applications in a rapidly changing business and technology environment.Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.COMMUNITY IMPACTCommunity involvement is part of who we are.
