Project Manager – Advisor Affiliate Technology Transitions

12 month contract/contract to hire (W2 ONLY, NO C-C)

Fort Mill, SC (Hybrid)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to join our Project Management team supporting the Advisor Affiliate business. This role will manage technology transition projects associated with advisor practice onboarding, including liquidity and succession transactions. The Project Manager will serve as a key point of contact for advisors and internal business partners, coordinating multiple cross-functional teams to ensure projects are executed successfully, efficiently, and with a high level of client service. This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, project management expertise, and the ability to manage multiple fast-paced initiatives simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage advisor technology transition projects from initiation through completion, typically spanning approximately 3–5 months.
• Serve as a primary project contact for advisors, including leading introductory and status meetings and clearly communicating project timelines, expectations, and upcoming changes.
• Coordinate and manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Partner closely with advisors and cross-functional internal teams to ensure all project activities remain aligned and on schedule.
• Coordinate activities across technology teams, including networking, telecommunications, workstation equipment, infrastructure, email, file/data migration, and related services.
• Collaborate with business partners, Integration Management Office teams, Corporate Real Estate, Technology, and other stakeholders involved in advisor transitions.
• Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, action items, and deliverables through completion.
• Proactively identify potential project risks or roadblocks and work with appropriate stakeholders to develop solutions.
• Facilitate communication among technical and non-technical stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and status updates using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure project information is thoroughly documented to provide support teams with a comprehensive record of completed activities and transition details.
• Support business-as-usual initiatives and additional project management efforts as needed.
• Participate in training and knowledge-sharing activities and quickly apply new information to active projects.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve project processes, communication, and execution.

Required Qualifications

Financial services or wealth management experience.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Approximately 3–5 years of project management experience preferred; candidates with strong project management experience and demonstrated ability to manage projects from initiation through completion will be considered.

Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and MS Excel

Demonstrated experience managing projects, implementations, migrations, conversions, or other complex initiatives from start to finish.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with senior stakeholders and external clients/advisors.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, ask questions, and move projects forward with limited day-to-day direction.

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Experience or familiarity with technology implementations and infrastructure is highly valued.

Relevant experience may include familiarity with:

• Network infrastructure and connectivity
• Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and circuit installations
• Telecommunications and phone systems
• Workstations, computers, monitors, and related equipment
• Email and file migrations
• Data migration activities
• Microsoft Outlook and PST files
• Technology implementation and conversion projects

PMP certification is a plus but not required.

Scrum Master or Agile project management experience is a plus.
