Job summary

DPR Construction in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead complex projects from planning through delivery. You will manage project engineers and assistant PMs, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule goals are met.

This role emphasizes collaboration, financial stewardship, and proactive risk management, with a focus on delivering high-quality results for healthcare, higher education, and commercial markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 7 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or a related field required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a managerial capacity preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and develops a team of construction project individuals by establishing expectations and supporting development plans.
• Oversees end-to-end project execution, monitors progress, and addresses escalated issues to ensure timely completion while maintaining safety.
• Approves procurement of project-related materials, equipment, and subcontractors as needed, ensuring alignment with work sequences.
• Communicates project status, risks, and changes to stakeholders, leveraging advanced knowledge in project management.
• Evaluates project performance, identifies improvement areas, and implements corrective actions.
• Reviews comprehensive project documentation for compliance, reporting, and future reference.
• Partners with the Superintendent to lead implementation of quality and safety programs.
