Job summary

FCX Performance, part of Applied Industrial Technologies, is seeking a Project Manager to own full lifecycle execution from kickoff to closeout. You will coordinate with sales, engineering, document control, and expediting to ensure profitable, on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring PMP exposure or certification interest, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Industry experience in project management, industrial equipment, EPC or related field.
• PMP certification is preferred; company will sponsor the path to obtain it.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience in pricing and contract terms.
• Excellent communication, able to present to leadership and external customers.
• Strong organization, capable of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, document control and expediting.
• Go-getter attitude with ownership and proactive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager owns full lifecycle execution of assigned projects, from front-end coordination and order entry through final closeout. This role is the primary point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction on each project, and works cross-functionally with sales, engineering, document control, and expediting to ensure successful, profitable execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own project execution end-to-end: front-end coordination, kickoff, execution, and closeout
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers and customers
• Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external customers throughout the project lifecycle
• Meet regularly with customers and internal stakeholders to manage expectations, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget; proactively identify and mitigate risk of scope creep and cost overruns
• Coordinate with Engineering, Document Control, and Expediting to keep projects on track
• Review and manage contract terms and conditions, escalating concerns as needed
• Identify and process change orders and follow-on work, protecting margin and capturing incremental value
• Support the sales team on project bid packages and provide technical/commercial input during the quoting process
• Ensure supplier accountability and on-time, on-spec delivery
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting in line with team accounting and tracking practices
• Escalate customer or execution issues promptly and drive them to resolution

QUALIFICATIONS

• Industry experience strongly preferred (project management, industrial/mechanical equipment, EPC, or related field)
• PMP certification highly preferred; candidates without PMP but with the desire to pursue certification will be considered, and we will support and sponsor the path to obtaining it
• Bachelor's degree highly preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Strong negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to manage pricing and contract terms
• Excellent communication skills, with comfort presenting to and negotiating with both internal leadership and external customers
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines
• Ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, document control, and expediting functions
• Go getter attitude with a strong sense of ownership. Someone who takes initiative and drives issues to resolution rather than waiting to be told
• Quick, practical problem solver who can think on their feet under project pressure and keep things moving
