Role Overview:

The Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to the organization’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model. Working under the direction of the CCBHC Implementation Project Manager and organizational leadership, this role assists with driving deliverables — tracking milestones, managing timelines, maintaining project documentation, and coordinating across clinical and operational teams so that CCBHC-related initiatives progress on schedule and meet certification and program requirements.

The Project Manager brings strong project-management discipline — planning, tracking, risk and issue management, and stakeholder communication — to keep CCBHC certification, implementation, and quality initiatives moving. Healthcare experience is strongly recommended for applicants, and CCBHC experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with driving deliverables for projects related to CCBHC implementation, certification, and ongoing operations.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, task lists, and milestone trackers, and monitor deliverable status against deadlines.
  • Track action items across teams and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify slippage or barriers early and escalate risks and delays to the CCBHC Implementation Project Manager.
Planning & Documentation
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, roadmaps, RACI matrices, and status reports.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture minutes, and track decisions and follow-ups.
  • Keep a single source of truth for project status accessible to stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate across clinical services, operations, finance, IT/HIT, quality, compliance, and human resources.
  • Facilitate project meetings, track milestones, drive alignment, and remove barriers to execution.
  • Review and include process improvement and lean methodologies to project initiatives.
  • Support communication and hand-offs among internal teams and external partners.
CCBHC Requirements Support
  • Support readiness activities tied to the nine required services and the CCBHC Certification Criteria.
  • Assist with preparation of the CCBHC Compliance Checklist, Community Needs Assessment, DCO Memoranda of Agreement, and Attestation as directed.
  • Help track certification milestones and audit/survey readiness.
Risk, Issue & Quality Management
  • Maintain risk registers and issue logs and support mitigation and resolution.
  • Support continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
Reporting & Communication
  • Provide regular, clear status updates to the CCBHC Implementation Project Manager and leadership.
  • Support SAMHSA and grant reporting timelines and deliverable tracking as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, project management, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
  • Minimum two to three years of project coordination or project management experience, including managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Healthcare experience is strongly recommended for applicants.
Additional Required Competencies
  • Proficiency with project-management tools and methods, including implementation of roadmaps, milestone tracking, and risk management.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across teams without direct authority.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements applicable to behavioral health settings.
FERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project management certification preferred (PMP, CAPM, PPM, or equivalent).
  • CCBHC experience preferred.
  • Behavioral health, integrated care, or other healthcare project experience.
  • Familiarity with the CCBHC model, Designated Collaborating Organizations (DCOs), and Medicaid/Prospective Payment System (PPS) concepts.
