JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for someone to Manage an upcoming project in Idaho. The Concrete Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all things concrete from start to finish. This includes managing project timelines, budgets, and teams while ensuring that concrete quality, safety standards, and client specifications are met. The Concrete Project Manager works closely with Quanta OPU’s , subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, material requirements, and staffing needs.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project specifications.
- Organize and schedule concrete deliveries to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with QC / Service Foreman to ensure daily schedule, delivery and quality are all in line.
- Lead and supervise a team of QC- Service, concrete batch plant personnel and drivers, including 3rd party relationships.
- Ensure proper training and safety practices are followed at all times.
- Manage daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and adjust work plans as necessary.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure concrete mix and application meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections and work with quality control teams to verify that all work is up to code.
- Manage the documentation of quality tests and concrete mix designs.
Cost Management & Budgeting:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including material costs, labor, and overhead.
- Track expenses and take corrective actions to stay within budget.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure cost-effective materials and services.
Scheduling:
- Prepare and manage project schedules, including people, equipment and material.
- Track progress for all previously scheduled events to stay on track.
Safety & Risk Management:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all team members wear appropriate PPE and adhere to safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all work complies with local safety laws and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate any potential risks to the project timeline or safety.
Communication & Reporting:
- Maintain regular communication with Quanta OPU’s, subcontractors, and suppliers to provide updates on project status.
- Prepare and submit schedules, progress reports, including project timelines, costs, and any issues or delays.
- Have the ability to document and write letters as needed.
- Serve as the point of contact for all project-related inquiries.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
- Address any on-site issues, including delays, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns.
- Make decisions regarding material substitutions, equipment needs, and labor adjustments.
- Oversee the 3rd party procurement of concrete materials and ensure timely delivery to the project site.
- Maintain inventory and manage the distribution of materials on-site.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing concrete construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of concrete materials, mix designs, and application techniques.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks and monitor progress.
·Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of concrete construction processes and quality control measures.
- Familiarity with construction codes and regulations.
·Budgeting & Financial Management:
- Experience managing project budgets and minimizing costs.
- Ability to track project expenses and manage material purchases effectively.
·Problem-Solving:
- Strong troubleshooting skills to address unforeseen challenges on-site.
- Ability to make quick decisions to keep projects on track.
·Safety Awareness:
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Ability to prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process.

- Seek opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures.
Working Conditions:
- The Concrete Project Manager will work a dual role at construction locations and headquarters. Rotations, or frequent job visits as necessary.
- Exposure to outdoor elements, construction noise, dust, and machinery.
- The role may require occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday work depending on project timelines.
