Job summary

Actalent, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a 12-month contract to support a data center project in Cedar Rapids, IA. Position will primarily back the Senior Project Manager and be 100% onsite.

Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, budget monitoring, cost estimation, and ensuring quality and compliance with specifications. Expect 50-hour weeks with potential weekend work and PPE on site.

Job Description

This position will primarily support the Senior Project Manager in ensuring the proper and timely completion of a data center project in Cedar Rapids.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule project meetings to ensure effective communication.
• Address and resolve project-related issues promptly.
• Support the project manager in monitoring project budgets.
• Track expenses and provide regular budget updates.
• Assist in cost estimation and analysis.
• Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of quality control measures.
• Assist in inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.

Essential Skills

• Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Project Manager in the construction space.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any previous data center experience.

Work Environment

Will be working 100% onsite supporting civil work for the construction of a data center. Can expect to work 50-hour weeks on average, with the potential for some weekend work as things ramp up, but will likely be Monday to Friday for the most part. Will be required to wear proper PPE while on site.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
