Job summary

ARCO Companies in Dallas is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with clients, design teams and subcontractors to deliver on time and on budget.

You will help develop concept drawings, budgets, and procurement plans, manage subcontractor scopes, and review contracts while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders across multiple projects in the Dallas area.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
• 3–10 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Municipality and utility project experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Work with clients and design team to develop preliminary concepts and budgets.
• Review scope, negotiate contracts and fees, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee subcontractor selection, buyout, schedule, and site logistics.
• Develop subcontractor scopes of work and review progress against budget.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings and on-site progress reviews with stakeholders.
• Track performance vs budget and prepare pay apps and billing reports.
• Travel to Dallas-area project sites as required.

ABOUT YOU

S&B Services is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the construction process to join our team in Dallas.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports
• Local travel to project sites within the Dallas is required

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration
• 3-10 years' of construction management or engineering design experience
• Previous experience leading municipality and utility projects is preferred
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
