Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Project Manager in Dallas to lead design/build construction projects from concept to completion. You will drive project performance, client satisfaction, and cost control while ensuring safety and Quality.

This role requires leadership across design teams, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver on-time, on-budget projects. Responsibilities include preconstruction planning, budget development, and coordinating with clients and designers.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related field is required.
  • 2-5 years' construction management or engineering design experience.
  • Experience leading ground-up commercial or light industrial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all managerial/administrative aspects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Collaborate with clients and design team on preliminary drawings and budgets.
  • Review scope, costs, and contracts; negotiate fees and value engineering.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, buyout, and scopes of work.
  • Monitor project performance vs budget; prepare pay apps and cost/status reports.
  • Lead preconstruction planning and on-site meetings to resolve constructability issues.

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the design/build construction process to join our team in Dallas. Each Project Manager has full profit and performance responsibility for his or her projects and unlimited growth potential.

A Day in the Life:
  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
  • Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports

Necessary Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years' of construction management or engineering design experience
  • Previous experience leading ground up commercial or light industrial projects is required
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

Typical base compensation for the Project Manager role is between $84,000.00 and $160,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
