Job description

The professional team at Jake’s Designs is committed to delivering the highest-quality landscape design, architecture, and construction for residents and homeowners in the Colorado Springs, Colorado, area and surrounding neighborhoods. If you are looking for landscaping jobs and can commit to our highest-quality, customer-focused culture, consider applying for one of our many opportunities!

Due to the demand for our services, we regularly seek qualified personnel to fill our landscaping jobs.

Position Goal: To install custom landscapes in an efficient manner to make the company profitable.

Responsibilities

Project Management: Acquire all materials, subcontractors and equipment needed to install a landscape job according to the agreement set up by the designer/estimators. You will need to manage and sometimes train crewmembers on the installation process.

Client Interaction: You will be required to attend a pre-walkthrough meeting with the client and the designer/estimator present to review the job at hand to make sure all those involved are on the same page. You will need to contact the client on a daily basis to let them know where we are in the project and what the next step will be. You will also need to perform a final walkthrough on the project and take care of any expressed concerns. You will also collect all payment installments throughout the course of the project.

Operations: You will be assigned a vehicle, skid loader, dump and cargo trailer as well as an assortment of smaller power/hand tools. You will be required to perform regular maintenance and general upkeep of all equipment assigned to you. This will be checked on a bi-weekly basis. You will also set out daily goals for your crews and assign deadlines by which they are expected to be met. If a warranty issue arises, you will be required to address that on your own time.

Administrative: We cannot improve our performance in the office until we get feedback from the field. You will track not only man-hours of your crewmembers, but will also track production rates for the various items that we install. You will also need to track all paperwork associated with your installation job and file it in the appropriate place.

Snow Removal: You will be required to perform snow removal duties during the snowy months.

The Experience

The thing that will separate us from other landscape companies is ‘the experience’ of our clients. There are two things that will define a “win” for our company.

  • Is the client thrilled with the experience and product we delivered?
  • Was the job profitable for the company?
Requirements :
  • Landscape industry experience of 5 years minimum

How this position contributes to our success

This will ensure great references in the future and will set us apart from other landscape companies in the Colorado Springs area.

Performance will be evaluated on…
  • The client is thrilled with the final product & the overall experience.
  • The company finished on time & within budget per your leadership and planning.
  • Your attitude towards continual improvement. Our clients’ recommendations to others based on their experience.
