Job summary

Trew in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced Project Manager to ensure all contractual obligations related to scope, schedule, and budget are met per customer contracts. You will lead cross-functional teams, communicate status, and drive on-time delivery.

You’ll manage both customer and in-house development projects, coordinate with account managers, engineers and installation teams, and track milestones, risks and finances to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, management, or similar discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering or project management (Sr. PM).
  • Experience with subcontract language and project cost accounting.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP system.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Installation (sr. PM).
  • Experience with software project development, testing and implementation (Sr. PM).
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • They manage both customer and in-house development projects. Works closely with the Account Managers, Engineers, and Installation.
  • Attend, capture and follow up on action items from turnover project meetings for new projects.
  • Conduct internal – and customer project kickoff meeting.
  • Create and maintain project schedules.
  • Create and maintain planning documents such as MSR, invoice schedules, engineering releases, etc.
  • Manage customer deliverables, communication, and relationships.
  • Review, track and deliver completion of project contract requirements.
  • Communicate project status, actions, risks, etc. to internal – and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with sourcing, engineering, installation, and others to manage suppliers.
  • Forecast, plan, and track project finances against as-sold budget.
  • Manage project change control to document variance to scope, schedule, or budget compared to as-sold.
  • Customer and vendor site visits to coordinate activities, track progress and provide directions.
  • Manage software development plans, releases, and test plans.
  • Review commissioning check lists and test plans for completeness.

Project Manager

The Project Manager’s role is to ensure all contractual obligations and expectations related to scope, schedule, and budget are met and executed per MSA, Proposal, or other customer contract documents. Communicating expectations and status are key to this role. Project Managers must be self-motivated and have a strong sense of urgency. They must also have strong technical and team leadership skills as well as solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills. It is important to have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of expertise.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Experience with PLC/Controls solution implementation
  • Experience with software project development, testing and implementation (Sr. PM)
  • PMP certification is a plus

Work EnvironmentThis is primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility, customer – and construction sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues. Office environment with face-to-face and virtual team interaction
