Job Title: Technical Project Manager (Remote)
Job Summary: The Technical PM is a Specright Expert responsible for project schedules, budgets, and timelines. You will orchestrate activities to mitigate risks and achieve targets jointly with customers. In this role, you will collaborate with customers, providing best practice recommendations, consulting services, and expert project management governance to ensure successful implementations. You will work cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, and Software Engineering.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan, organize, and manage all project phases to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, customer satisfaction, quality, and strong project governance to avoid scope creep and risks.
- Guide resources and customers to provide impactful solutions that lead to highly referenceable accounts, enabling adoption, renewal, and upsell.
- Support conversations throughout the project lifecycle as a Solution Consultant, including requirements gathering, understanding best practices, assisting in QA testing, and discussing solutions built for customers.
- Interact with business partners to learn, document requirements, and produce business requirements documents and user stories.
- Research customer needs, collaboratively plan solutions, and coordinate development to meet business requirements.
- Support development and management of test cases and User Acceptance Testing.
- Forecast resource needs to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
- Maintain discipline with status updates, Salesforce hygiene, etc.
- Establish full implementation plans using project management principles, including scope, deliverables, dependencies, estimates, risk management, and contingency planning.
- Communicate project boundaries with customers and negotiate mutual plans to keep projects on schedule, within scope, and on timeline.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach, creating and delivering value through outstanding customer experiences.
- Keep up-to-date with required product and project management knowledge.
- Proactively uncover additional customer needs and upsell opportunities with the Specright team.
- Adopt and promote the Specright implementation methodology, providing ongoing input for its improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage, Packaging, or Supply Chain industries.
- 5+ years in project management, business analysis, solution consulting, or related roles in SaaS, preferably Salesforce.com.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying implementation objectives, project boundaries, and driving successful outcomes.
- Ability to build credibility and trust with customers and stakeholders, with technical knowledge of solutions and project management.
- Comfort in presenting to C-suite executives and discussing complex topics.
- Experience managing complex enterprise software projects.
- Salesforce.com knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Smartsheets project management software.
- PMP certification is preferred.
