Job summary

AIT is seeking a Project Manager to lead customer projects from kickoff through delivery. You will coordinate internal resources, define project scope with stakeholders, and develop master timing plans to keep programs on time and within budget.

You will monitor risks, manage changes to scope and costs, track job costs, and maintain detailed documentation while communicating with customers and internal teams.

Job description

Summary:

The project manager position is responsible for the management of customer projects, with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget, and meeting scope and quality requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Kick-off new projects and coordinate with internal resources for the execution of projects.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility.
  • Ensures resource availability and allocation to support project plan and timing with support from the scheduling department.
  • Develops master timing plan to report to status to customers.
  • Manages customer authority data with support from data management department.
  • Support of outsource scope development and sourcing as required to maintain project cost and timing.
  • Perform risk and opportunities assessments, manage program internally and externally to minimize project risks.
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Track job cost and escale/adjust accordingly.
  • Assist in preforming PCM Reporting to finance.
  • Support relationships with customers and manages customer interactions and expectations.
  • Report and escalates issues or concerns to management bi-weekly or as needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure quality reports and project deliverables meet or exceed both customer and internal expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field.
  • Two to Four years minimum in a tooling/manufacturing environment, Design, Build and Installation programs.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.

  • Understands how to use the computers, including such tasks as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigate to websites, perform searches, and download files.
  • Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office).
  • Maintains confidentiality while processing and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Defines tasks and milestones to achieve objectives, while ensuring the optimal use of resources to achieve those objectives.
  • Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers.
