Job summary

Roby Commercial in Charlotte seeks a Project Manager to oversee commercial construction from concept through completion, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budget, and exacting quality standards. You’ll coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to build trusted partnerships and outstanding projects.

The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of college or equivalent, proven experience managing projects from start to finish, and solid understanding of codes and processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • 2–4 years of college education or equivalent relevant experience in commercial construction, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, codes, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with project management software and digital tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Solid foundation in budgeting, cost control, and financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, site evaluations, and initial assessments.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Managing all phases of construction and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet milestones and quality expectations.
  • Tracking progress, expenses, and change orders through project management software.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks while enforcing safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Leading project meetings and maintaining clear communication across all parties.
  • Ensuring all work meets company standards for quality, cost, and client satisfaction.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.
