SSI SCHAEFER Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Site Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale intralogistics projects from initiation to completion. You will ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with customer requirements while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

The role demands a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, 3+ years of PM experience in material handling or warehouse automation, and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience in material handling or warehouse automation.
  • PM certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all project activities from start to completion.
  • Monitor progress, timelines, budget, and overall performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and escalated conflicts with the Site Manager.
  • Prepare regular project status reports, including schedule and budget forecasts.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans as needed.
  • Review change requests and assess impact on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and site safety requirements.

The Project Manager is responsible for leading medium to large-scale projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer and contract requirements.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in the material handling or warehouse automation industry.
  • Project Management certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites up to 50%, based on business needs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, overnight, and weekends, as required,
