Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to coordinate contract prep, budget management, and proposals for engineering programs.

You will track progress using Earned Value Management, manage scope, schedule, and costs, coordinate meetings with clients and consultants, and deliver timely reports. Travel up to 10% across US may be required. Telecommuting up to 3 days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, with 4 years of related work experience; or Master’s degree with 2 years of related work experience.
• 2 years of Earned Value Management experience.
• Experience maintaining schedule, scope, and budget for civil engineering projects throughout the program cycle.
• Experience drafting technical documents for engineering project proposals and coordinating development projects.
• Knowledge of engineering design codes and standards.
• Full-cycle administration of engineering projects including contracting, reporting, invoicing, scheduling, AR/AP, insurance, progress reporting, and cost accounting.
• Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.
• Travel across the US required up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract preparation and budget management activities for engineering projects.
• Draft proposals and change orders in alignment with engineering project requirements.
• Track financials of the project using Earned Value Management methods to objectively measure project performance.
• Coordinate project deliverables, document submittals, client meetings, and review comments.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience.
• Must have 2 years of experience with Earned Value Management.
• Experience with maintaining schedule, scope, and budget for civil engineering projects throughout the program cycle.
• Experience drafting technical documents for engineering project proposals.Experience coordinating engineering development projects.
• Knowledge of engineering design codes and standards.
• Full-cycle administration of engineering projects including contracting, reporting, invoicing, scheduling, Accounts Receivable/Payable, insurance, progress reporting, and baseline versus actual cost accounting.
• Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.
• Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.

Demonstrates expertise in project management for civil engineering, including contract preparation, budget management, and Earned Value Management. Proficient in drafting technical proposals and coordinating project deliverables while ensuring compliance with engineering design codes and standards.
