Job summary

Mission Critical Interior Solutions, Inc is seeking a Head of the Project Team for a Cedar Rapids, IA project. You will own budgets, schedules, contracts, and reporting while guiding a project team from procurement through closeout.

This role is client-facing and requires collaboration with the Superintendent and QA/QC and Safety managers on site. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction PM, strong budgeting and scheduling experience, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft

• Minimum 5 years of construction Project Management experience with budget/schedule/contract management.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office suite.

Position Overview

Head of the Project Team on a single project and the driving force alongside the Superintendent. Owns budget, schedule, contracts, deliverables, procurement, client communication, change orders, and reporting. On a small project, handles all Project Team responsibilities alone. As the project scales, support roles are added. Client-facing leader on the project/office side. Works alongside peers; Superintendent, QAQC Manager, and Safety Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all project documentation across the project.
• Own project-level reporting and project schedule.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for project team performance.
• Coordinate all phases of construction from procurement to closeout.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and cost forecasts.
• Approve invoices, change orders, and procurement cost.
• Lead and coordinate work of all project team members.
• Lead, mentor, and develop assistant project managers and project engineers.
• Serve as primary point of contact for client onsite when sole manager.
• Address project issues proactively to minimize impact on cost and schedule.
• Maintain proper documentation for claims and dispute resolution.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of construction Project Management experience, proven budget/schedule/contract management, strong client-facing skills, proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite. Should be the kind of person the Superintendent trusts as their counterpart.
