Insight Global is seeking a Data Center OSP Project Manager to lead outside plant fiber construction projects within large data centers. You will guide field operations from planning through closeout, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and financial targets.

The role requires 2+ years of PM experience in fiber or low-voltage construction, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate crews, vendors, and customers. Travel to Cedar Rapids, IA area is possible.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current DOT medical card.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in low-voltage or fiber construction environments.
  • Experience supporting data center projects involving fiber optics, structured cabling, networking, DAS, security, or fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of outside plant fiber construction methods and standards.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute work from drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Bluebeam experience for plan review/markups.
  • Strong OSHA safety compliance knowledge.
  • Ability to manage crews through training, oversight, and performance.
  • Experience tracking project costs, reviewing budgets, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Strong communication with customers, crews, and internal teams.

Job description

The Data Center OSP Project Manager leads and coordinates outside plant fiber construction projects within large‑scale data center environments. This role is responsible for guiding field operations from planning through closeout, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within approved financial targets.

The Project Manager acts as the central point of accountability for crews, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders. Success in this position requires a strong understanding of fiber and low‑voltage systems, the ability to manage multiple workstreams, and a hands‑on leadership style that supports both operational performance and team development.

In addition to managing construction activities, the role involves oversight of documentation, cost control, scope management, and customer collaboration to deliver high‑quality results and long‑term value.

  • Ability to manage crews through training, oversight, and performance accountability

  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with customers, crews, and internal teams
