Job summary

U.S. Engineering Innovations is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex mechanical construction projects from kickoff through commissioning. You will supervise cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety, schedule, and quality targets are met.

The role emphasizes strong communication, site leadership, and collaboration with internal and external partners to deliver successful outcomes and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science Management, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of project budgeting and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Review the estimate and initiate tasks related to project kickoff.
  • Build relationships with the project team and external partners, providing leadership.
  • Review the financial picture and present a forecast for the project.
  • Assess risk factors to meet safety, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Complete project paperwork, leveraging digital workflows.

PROJECT MANAGER – USE Innovations

In any given year, our people have a hand in installing, maintaining, or operating hundreds of large mechanical systems – or supporting those that do. As a Project Manager, you will wake up every morning with the ability to deliver successful mechanical installation projects that make lives and communities better. Your oversight through all phases of construction will make partners want to work with you again and produce impressive financial results.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Review the estimate and initiate all tasks related to project kickoff.
  • Build relationships with the project team (both in house and with outside partners), providing leadership and guidance.
  • Review the financial picture and present an impressive project forecast.
  • Assess any risk factors, making sure you meet safety, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Complete some paperwork, though much of that is completed digitally with our internal document workflows.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science Management, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Equivalent combination of mechanical field and leadership experience will be considered.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction industry.
  • Prior experience in role assisting with project management or field leadership preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Ability to maximize performance of project team through innovative and effective management techniques.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, such as diplomacy, persuasion, etc. are essential to develop and foster effective professional relationships.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic level of financial acumen necessary to manage project budget/performance.
  • Knowledge of the following computer programs: MS Word, Excel. Experience with project management software a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
  • Ability to navigate a construction site.
Benefits and Compensation:
  • The range for this position has been established at $100,880 to $142,500and is US Engineering Innovationsgood faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
  • Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off. An industry-leading benefits package including health, dental, and vision plans, matching retirement contributions, and matching 529 contributions all add to your bottom line.
