Job summary

Uprite Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead government construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, documentation, and coordination with clients and partners.

The ideal candidate has direct government project experience, familiarity with compliance and reporting, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead government construction projects from award through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, procurement logs, and reporting.
  • Manage owner contracts, subcontract agreements, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with government representatives, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Lead project meetings and provide updates on schedule, cost, quality, safety, and risk.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, closeout documentation, and contract requirements.
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify risks and coordination issues.
  • Maintain compliance with government contract requirements and project-specific procedures.
  • Track project costs and maintain accurate financial forecasts.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, scope, schedule, and change management.
  • Support permitting, inspections, testing, and project closeout.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and project partners.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and support development of project team members.
  • Maintain focus on safety, quality, accountability, and client satisfaction.

The Project Manager will lead government construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This person will be responsible for project planning, financial management, scheduling, contract administration, documentation, coordination, and overall project delivery.


The ideal candidate has direct experience working on government funded construction projects and understands the additional requirements, documentation, compliance, and communication involved. Experience with Idaho National Laboratory would be especially valuable.


What You'll Do:


  • Lead government construction projects from award through closeout

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, procurement logs, and reporting

  • Manage owner contracts, subcontract agreements, change orders, and project documentation

What You'll Bring:


  • 5 or more years of Project Management experience in commercial construction

  • Direct experience managing government construction projects

  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor

  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, and project documentation

  • Strong understanding of government contract administration, compliance, reporting, and documentation requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and scope documents

  • Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred


Highly Preferred Experience


  • Idaho National Laboratory projects

  • Government funded commercial construction

  • Secure or controlled access facilities

  • Government contract documentation and compliance
