Job summary

MGAC in Washington, DC is seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to join our boutique consultancy. The role focuses on delivering multi-phased building projects with client expectations, design management, and site coordination.

You have 2+ years in construction project management, a related degree, and proficiency with MS Office and PDF tools; experience with Procore or similar platforms is a plus. On-site work four days a week is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in construction management, Business, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical) or related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction project management with a thorough understanding of the building design and construction process.
  • Construction management experience related to base building, schools, commercial, cultural, life sciences, corporate fit-out and/or developer work. Experience with site construction.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in essential software applications, including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF tools, and project management platforms such as Procore or equivalent.

  • Participate as an active member of a team of dynamic project managers in executing multi-phased projects, maintaining client expectations, and evolving project demands.
  • Experience with construction oversight, design management, contract management and project communications.
  • Responsible for monitoring progress in the field, schedule analysis, and quality control.
  • Opportunity to build trust with and have direct interface with the construction team and client decision-makers.
  • Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and prepare accurate project documentation for all phases of the project.
  • Participate in tracking and processing invoices, purchase orders, and other financial commitments, exposures and obligations.
  • Maintain relationships with the wider construction industry, trade associates, vendors, and professional organizations.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $115,000 per year (commensuratewith experience)

The advertised salary range is intended as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as experience,expertise, and location. This base salary does not reflect the full compensation package, which may include bonuses, 401(k) matching up to 8%, and other benefits.
