Job summary

TEKsystems in Birmingham, AL is seeking a strong Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and completion of facility-related projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient resource use, timely delivery, and successful outcomes.

Responsibilities include project planning, resource allocation, vendor management, risk assessment, quality control, and regular stakeholder updates. This is a fully onsite, contract position based in Birmingham with an Oct 23, 2026 deadline.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Experience: Prior experience in project management, preferably in facilities or construction.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities; proficiency in project management software.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations; excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• PMP or Scrum Master certification is preferred, but not required.

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with Power BI, Azure Cloud development, and application development using Python or .NET.
• Previous experience supporting data delivery, including requirements gathering with business partners.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
• Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
• PMP or Scrum Master certification is preferred, but not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
