This role partners closely with engineering leadership to ensure technical integrity, configuration control, and disciplined systems engineering practices are applied throughout execution. Your engineering background will allow you to communicate fluently with technical teams, anticipate project risks, and drive solutions that balance quality with schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-to-mid career professional looking to grow into a senior PM role.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate, comprehensive documentation, schedules, and status tools are maintained across projects. Drive development of reporting tools in coordination with engineering, operations, and supply chain.
  • Assess performance against objectives and milestones, implement corrective actions, and elevate critical issues to leadership.
  • Support proposal efforts, including strategy, planning, budgeting, and risk assessment. Ensure proposals align with company goals and customer expectations.
  • Serve as the primary interface with project stakeholders including suppliers, subcontractors and leadership, fostering transparent communication and alignment across teams.
  • Champion improvements to project management practices.
  • Maintain accountability for compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
  • BA/BS engineering degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • 2-8 years of project or management experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or other technical industries.
  • Expertise in technical program execution across all phases of a product lifecycle, scheduling, financial management, and risk oversight.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining integrated program schedules and financial reports (MS Project, Jira or similar).
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and drive effective solutions.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information to leadership and external stakeholders.
Preferred
  • Extensive background in the aerospace and defense industry, with direct knowledge of uncrewed aerial systems strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of UAV technology and engineering.
  • Experience working with external vendors, subcontractors, or contract manufacturers.
  • Exposure to regulated environments (ISO 9001, AS9100, IEC 61508, FDA QSR, or similar).
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer workstation for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, video conference, and through written electronic communications.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, schedules, financial reports, and project plans.
  • Ability to travel between company facilities, customer locations, supplier sites, and testing locations as required.
  • Ability to move throughout office, laboratory, manufacturing, warehouse, and flight test environments to observe project activities, inspect equipment, and participate in technical reviews.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and access equipment or work areas during project reviews, demonstrations, or facility visits.
  • Ability to work in environments with moderate noise levels, moving equipment, temperature variations, and outdoor conditions during testing and operational activities.
