Advanced Giga Inc. designs, fabricates, and deploys modular data center infrastructure for hyperscale operators. Our flagship products, the MDH (Modular Data Hall), MTCS (Modular Technology Cooling System), and MES (Modular Energy Server), are factory-built, tested, and commissioned before they ever leave our facility. We are not a general contractor. We are an engineering-led manufacturer that owns the full lifecycle: design, fabrication, controls integration, factory acceptance testing, delivery, and on-site commissioning.
We are a small, high-impact team where your decisions directly shape outcomes on programs worth tens of millions of dollars. If you have spent your career inside large organizations and are looking for a place where your experience actually gets used, not diluted across layers of bureaucracy, this is it.
The Role
AGI is hiring a Project Manager to lead the execution of multiple concurrent projects across the company's portfolio: modular data center programs, equipment production programs, industrial facility projects, and internal company projects, broadening as the business grows. You will be accountable for each assigned project from award through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
You will coordinate AGI's engineering team, fabrication partners, suppliers, and client stakeholders to deliver on demanding timelines, and serve as the primary point of contact for the client on each assigned project. The role requires a regular presence at fabrication facilities and project sites, and you will help establish AGI's project management practices. Reports to the Director of Operations.
Location: Austin, TX (primary) or South Texas (McAllen area). Candidates must be within daily driving distance of one of the two; no relocation package is offered. Full-time, on-site with regular travel.
What You Will Actually Do
- Lead each assigned project through all phases, from planning and procurement to final turnover
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, delivery, installation, and commissioning, and manage interdependencies across concurrent projects
- Prepare a project execution plan for each new project (milestones, resources, key interfaces) and keep it current as conditions change
- Manage projects of different types and contract structures: fixed-price production programs, design-build projects, and internal company projects
- Identify risks early, develop mitigation and recovery plans, and elevate to leadership with recommended actions
- Direct the work of project coordinators and other team members assigned to the project, and contribute to AGI's project management standards, templates, and reporting
- Promptly after award, plan and release purchase orders for long-lead mechanical and electrical equipment (switchgear, busway, pumps, heat exchangers, variable frequency drives); track supplier lead times, submittals, and delivery commitments, and expedite where the schedule requires
- Maintain a regular on-site presence at fabrication facilities to monitor progress, labor allocation, workmanship, and quality; coordinate quality inspections and factory acceptance testing (FAT) so each unit meets requirements before shipment
- Coordinate with AGI's engineering team on design maturity, drawing releases, and field-driven revisions, and make sure quality records, test documentation, and turnover packages are complete
- Plan and coordinate freight logistics, including oversized and staged shipments, in line with client installation schedules; coordinate installation, start-up, and commissioning with site teams, subcontractors, and the client; manage punch lists, final acceptance, and turnover
- Track cost performance against budgets and contract values, report variances early, and maintain a monthly cost-to-complete forecast for each project
- Manage scope boundaries under each contract; document, price, and negotiate change orders; maintain change, risk, RFI, and submittal logs; confirm contractual milestones and prepare the documentation for milestone billing
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client's project management team; prepare and present regular status reports covering schedule, cost, risks, and open decisions; coordinate with third-party consultants, general contractors, and site owners on interfacing scope
- Provide schedule, cost, and execution input for proposals on new projects
Who You Are
- 15+ years of project or program management experience in industrial fabrication, modular construction, MEP systems, or mission-critical facility delivery
- Demonstrated accountability, as the individual responsible for delivery, for projects in the twenty-five-million-dollar-and-up range
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects of different types and contract structures
- Working knowledge of MEP systems (mechanical piping, electrical distribution, controls and automation) and able to read P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and fabrication drawings
- Direct experience with factory acceptance testing, fabrication quality control, and commissioning, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Preferred (Not Required)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field
- Data center, semiconductor, industrial manufacturing, or other mission-critical facility projects
- Modular or prefabricated construction methods
- PMP certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- BIM/Revit coordination in a fabrication context
- Freight logistics for oversized modular shipments
What We Offer
- Comprehensive benefits package including insurance and 401K match
- Performance bonus tied to project delivery milestones
- Direct impact on a high-growth company at the intersection of manufacturing and critical infrastructure
- Ownership of your domain: you set the processes, you build the relationships, you drive the outcomes
- A technical leadership team that speaks your language (engineering-led company, not sales-led)
