Job summary

Arm in Austin, Texas is seeking a Project Manager to lead teams in the development of System IP, CPU, DMC, Interconnect, MMU, GIC, SoC, GPU and PHY products. You will partner with Product Manager, Technical Lead and engineers to drive projects from conception to delivery, ensuring quality, on-spec, and timely releases.

Travel is minimal. Formal PM experience in semiconductor or electronics, familiarity with Waterfall and iterative lifecycles, and proficiency with project management tools

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of microelectronics, IP development flow and integration.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with hardware and Soft IP development lifecycles (waterfall, iterative).
  • Ability to build plans from high level to detailed schedules.
  • Ability to generate effective metrics for tracking and handle uncertainty.

  • Collaborate with Product Manager, Technical Lead and engineering teams to deliver on schedule.

Job Overview

The project manager will be responsible for leading project teams in the development of System IP, CPU, DMC, Interconnect, MMU, GIC, SoC, GPU, PHY products addressing various market segment needs. Working closely with the Product Manager, Technical Lead and engineering teams, the project manager will be able to lead engineering projects from conception to final delivery to ensure quality, on-spec, and timely delivery of products! The candidate should have a solid track record of project management across all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle. Responsibilities include effective communication, planning, scheduling, tracking/monitoring, resource allocation, budget management, issue/risk management, change management, management of dependencies, and delivering high quality products to committed schedules! This role requires a minimal level of travel to work across Arm and with Arm Partners.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of microelectronics, intellectual property development flow and integration.
  • Experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with a range of hardware and Soft IP development lifecycle methods (e.g., waterfall, iterative)
  • ability in building plans from a high level to a detailed schedule
  • Determine how best to deal with uncertainty and to generate effective metrics for tracking

  • Experience of driving projects in a constantly evolving development environment
  • Ability to lead team members through personal leadership and clear project goals
  • Ability to communicate with highly skilled engineering teams and partners
  • Pro-active and pragmatic with regards to problem-solving
  • Formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP)
  • Familiar with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence
  • Professional, with strong attention to detail
  • A university degree (or equivalent) in either Engineering or Computer Science is desired, although other degrees would be considered if there is confirmed experience.

Salary Range

$177,100-$239,700 per year
