Harris is seeking an Implementation and Project Delivery professional to lead end-to-end SIS deployments for higher education institutions from kickoff through go-live. You will manage timelines, risks, and communications with client steering committees while advocating for out-of-the-box functionality over heavy customization.

You will act as a subject matter expert in higher education operations, ensure FERPA/Title IV compliance, and support data governance.

Qualifications

Job description

Implementation and Project Delivery

• Lead end-to-end SIS platform deployments from kickoff through go-live, including discovery workshops with key campus stakeholders to map institutional requirements and legacy workflows.
• Maintain project timelines, track milestones, mitigate risks, and communicate status updates to internal teams and client steering committees.
• Support institutions through change management as they transition to a modern SaaS environment, advocating for out-of-the-box functionality over heavy customization.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned, identify optimization opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement of internal methodologies and playbooks.

Higher Education Consulting, Compliance and Data Governance

• Serve as a subject matter expert in higher education operations, including admissions, registration, grading, degree auditing, and financial aid, consulting with staff to redesign legacy processes around platform best practices.
• Ensure system configurations support compliance with federal and regional regulations (e.g., FERPA, Title IV) and champion responsible data governance practices throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Configure predictive analytics models and early-warning systems to help advisors identify at-risk students, ensuring AI-assisted tools are used transparently, equitably, and free from bias.

Technical Strategy and Integration

• Leverage AI-driven data mapping, cleansing, and automation tools across the project lifecycle to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data migration and client outcomes.
• Define integration requirements between the SIS and critical campus infrastructure such as LMS (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard), CRM, and ERP/financial systems.
• Translate complex academic policies (e.g., non-standard calendars, unique credit hour calculations) into actionable technical configurations.

Client Success and Growth

• Develop and deliver targeted training sessions for campus staff, ensuring confidence and self-sufficiency in the new system before go-live.
• Build strong consultative relationships with university leadership, serving as their strategic partner and primary advocate while proactively identifying opportunities to expand platform adoption through additional modules and professional services.
• Partner with Sales and Account Management to develop account growth strategies, contribute to proposals, and support renewal conversations.
• Act as the voice of the customer by synthesizing feedback and implementation pain points to drive product roadmap improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in professional services, implementation, or project management within higher education technology or SIS platforms.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong customer problem-solving skills with a track record of managing escalations and driving creative solutions.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to improve processes such as data migration, workflow automation, or analytics.
• Solid understanding of higher education operations and regulatory requirements such as FERPA, Title IV, and data governance principles.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and close upsell or cross-sell opportunities within an existing client base, with comfort in consultative selling and contributing to proposals.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of institutional stakeholders.

Performance in this role will be measured by: on-time go-live rate, client satisfaction (CSAT/NPS), training completion and effectiveness, post-go-live support ticket volume, install-base revenue growth, and process improvement contributions.

What Would Make You Stand Out

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
• Direct experience implementing SIS platforms (e.g., Ellucian, Jenzabar, or similar).
• Experience with AI-driven data migration or analytics tools in an enterprise environment.
• Background in change management methodologies or data governance policy development.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding install-base revenue targets in a professional services environment.

Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 USD per year.
