Job description

Ranked in the Top 25 General Contractors that are minority, CMC has overseen over $50 million in construction across various projects including commercial, civil, and development in Texas.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing all onsite construction activities, including direct hire and subcontractor work, in accordance with contract requirements and established policies, procedures, and systems on projects.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Safety Leadership, including daily personal engagement focused on a zero-injury culture and philosophy.
  2. Contracts compliance within the allocated budget.
  3. Planning leadership for daily, weekly, and overall project planning from initiation to completion and turnover.
  4. Leadership and supervision of a construction management and technical staff, typical for very large projects.
  5. Ensuring the team focuses on safety, quality, cost, and schedule goals.
  6. Leadership aimed at instilling craft planning processes to achieve high craft productivity and overall cost management.
  7. Leadership to develop an effective onsite craft and supervisor training and mentoring program.
  8. Project setup, subcontracting strategy, shop drawing review, and processing.
  9. Timely and effective management of contract changes.
  10. Typically overseeing multiple area Construction Managers on projects exceeding $500 million.
  11. Potentially serving as proposal manager for medium-sized construction projects, including developing construction and project execution plans and strategies.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent construction management experience.
  2. Working knowledge of the industry.
  3. Personal commitment to a Safety philosophy that all accidents are preventable.
  4. Strong communication skills to align project goals with internal teams and external partners, including engineering, subcontractors, and clients.
  5. Experience and understanding of CII best practices.
  6. Proficiency in planning and scheduling processes.
  7. Minimum of 10 years of Construction Management experience.
