Job summary

We Search People partners with a commercial general contractor in the Atlanta area to lead interior build-out projects. The Commercial Construction Project Manager will oversee preconstruction through closeout, directing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relations to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Experience across healthcare, education, office, hospitality, retail, municipal, institutional, or mixed-use developments.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Atlanta market and local subcontractor relationships is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior build-outs commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, cost reports, and forecasts.
• Lead project teams including Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, Superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Serve as primary contact for owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Review and manage contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, buyout processes, and performance.
• Monitor project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, change orders, monthly reporting.
• Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety regs, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Lead project meetings and provide updates to clients and senior leadership.
• Foster and maintain client relationships to support repeat business.
• Assist with preconstruction activities, estimating reviews, value engineering, and planning.

Specializing in luxury interior build outs across the south east they cover commercial construction projects across sectors including healthcare, hospitality, retail, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join their growing Atlanta team.

Position Overview

The Commercial Construction Project Manager will be responsible for leading interior build outs commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This individual will oversee all aspects of project delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, client relations, and overall project execution, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and project management processes
• Experience managing project teams, subcontractors, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of contract administration, project financial management, and risk mitigation
• Experience within the Atlanta construction market and established local subcontractor relationships is highly desirable
