Job summary

Allied Universal Technology Services in Ashland, VA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex electronic security projects from start to finish, coordinating across installation, engineering and site teams. You will own budgeting, scheduling, vendor communications and P&L responsibility, ensuring on-time delivery and profitability.

A minimum of three years of project management experience and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Driver’s license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of project management, engineering, construction, electronic security or field service experience.
  • Experience managing portfolio(s) of at least $1M.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint).
  • Leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships and manage delivery timeframes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage projects to optimize resource allocation, scheduling and timely execution within budget.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, including full P&L responsibility, collection efforts and accurate invoicing through ERP systems.
  • Supervise installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality work on large and complex systems.
  • Maintain timely and strategic communication with vendors, customers and internal teams to align efforts with business goals.
  • Implement change orders and adapt installation and pricing plans as needed.
  • Plan and schedule engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities on large and/or complex systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve project issues using financial, contractual and operational tools to maintain profitability, engaging leadership as needed.
  • Maintain construction schedules and coordinates scheduling with other trades, while developing contingency plans and proactively managing risks to ensure project success.
  • Ensure accurate records of job status, job changes and material flow throughout the project.
  • Conduct site walks and attend onsite customer meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current driver’s license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehiclein the course ofconducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)
  • Minimum ofthree(3) years of project management, engineering, construction, electronicsecurityor field service experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects (portfolio) of at least $1M
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint)
  • Leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally, as well as manage deliverytimeframes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and meet deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Technology, or related field
  • Solid knowledge of PM techniques and tools, general knowledge of contract laws and regulations
  • Project Management experience in the electronic security industry field
  • Factory certifications in relevant technology platforms is a plus (Software House, Lenel,Brivo, Open Options,Exacq, American Dynamics, Milestone,OnSSI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of project management software (e.g., PM Workbench, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam) and ERP systems
  • PMP, CSPM, CAPM or equivalent project management certification

BENEFITS:

  • Salary range: $100,000 annual - $125,000 annual + 20% annual bonus potential + company vehicle and gas card

  • Vacation time is offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law
