Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a capable Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute fire protection projects in the Ashburn area. You will serve as the primary contact for project execution, coordinating with operations, clients, and internal teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of project management experience in construction or fire protection, with PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, fire protection, or technical services preferred.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA and IEC standards, and applicable building codes preferred.

Responsibilities

Summary

\

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget; serves as the primary point of contact for project execution, collaborating with operations, clients, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results and achieve customer satisfaction.

\

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

\

\
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives.
\
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including operations, service, engineering, and procurement, to ensure timely execution.
\
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
\
• Communicate project status, financial performance, and risks to clients and leadership.
\
• Review project documents, specifications, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
\
• Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and project documentation.
\
• Ensure all projects comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
\
• Participate in on-call rotation for project escalations or emergency needs as required.
\
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting for internal and client use.
\

Education and/or Experience

\

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of project management experience in construction, fire protection, or technical service industries; PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Knowledge of NFPA and IEC standards, Underwriter’s requirements and applicable building codes preferred.

Computer Skills

\

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) and ERP systems preferred.

\

Physical Demands

\

Combination of office and field work. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.\Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
