Job summary

Chenega Security seeks a Project Manager to serve as the primary interface with the Contracting Officer and COR, ensuring compliant, timely delivery of DOE contract requirements. You will lead strategic project management activities, oversee performance metrics, and drive execution across teams.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in protective force operations, and active DOE Q clearance. This is an on-site position in Albuquerque, NM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in protective force operations, preferably within DOE/NNSA or similar high-security environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage staffing levels, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to Government representatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Contractor’s primary point of contact with the Contracting Officer (CO) and COR, ensuring effective communication.
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all project management activities and contract performance.
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies, work standards, and procedures for compliant execution of contract requirements.
• Plan, assign, and manage work schedules while overseeing daily operations for timely performance.
• Supervise personnel, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and professional development.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve performance issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain compliant DOE processes.
• Prepare and review reports, deliverables, and documentation per contract terms and timelines.
• Communicate policies, priorities, and objectives to personnel to align with DOE mission goals.
• Establish and manage QA/QC programs to meet performance and service delivery standards.
• Ensure full compliance with DOE directives, federal regulations, and contract requirements.

Overview

The Project Manager (PM) serves as the Contractor’s primary point of contact and the authorized interface with the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). The PM is accountable for the comprehensive management, oversight, and execution of all contractual requirements. This includes ensuring alignment with Department of Energy (DOE) objectives, maintaining adherence to established performance metrics, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements, and driving the successful and timely delivery of all contract deliverables.

Responsibilities

What You'll Get To Do:

• Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all project management activities and contract performance.

• Establish, implement, and manage quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure achievement of all performance and service delivery standards.
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable DOE directives, federal regulations, and contract-specific requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of contract objectives and mission success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in protective force operations, preferably within the Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), or a comparable federal or high-security environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing and supervising personnel in the execution of security or protective force contracts, with accountability for operational performance and compliance.
• Proven ability to effectively lead teams, manage staffing levels, develop work schedules, and monitor performance within regulated, high-security, or mission-critical environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to personnel, stakeholders, and Government representatives.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license with the ability to operate government or contractor vehicles as required.
• Active DOE Q clearance.
