Job summary

VTG is seeking a Project Management Support SME in Bethesda, MD with a TS/SCI clearance with poly. You will monitor IT portfolios, support strategic planning, and advise on roadmaps, risks, and funding. You will prepare deliverables for senior officials and collaborate with diverse teams, including international partners.

The role requires strong writing, leadership of SMEs, and the ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical audiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Typically BA with 12–15 years or Masters with 10–13 years of relevant experience.
• Draft products that reflect strong writing and grammatical skills.
• Knowledge of portfolio, program, and project management discipline.
• Familiarity with planning, budgeting, and execution discipline.
• Knowledge of key performance indicators.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with seniors in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Produce deliverables in multiple formats (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to lead a group and set strategic direction for SMEs.

What will you do?

Responsibilities Include

• Portfolio Management Experience - Monitor and analyze IT portfolio of programs and their associated capabilities and Services.
• Strategic Planning Experience - support the evolution of the Sponsor’s strategic direction and priorities.
• Make recommendations to aid sponsor decision-making, to include proposed strategies and/or roadmaps; identified risks, capability and performance gaps, and dependencies; alignment with the strategic framework and priorities; and funding and related program issues.
• Assist government clients with programmatic goals and objectives, schedules, and reports to the senior-level executives.
• Communicate technical topics in a non-technical manner to senior-level audiences.
• Extensive experience in collaboration across multiple entities.
• Experience working with partners outside the US.

Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $190,000-$220,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
