Job summary

Wright-Ryan Construction, Inc. offers a summer internship in its Large Commercial Division for sophomores and juniors in Construction Management programs.

You’ll work with Project Managers and Superintendents on current Wright-Ryan commercial projects, gaining hands-on field and office experience designed to prepare you for a career as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer after graduation. Eligible students will be Maine residents or attending a Maine school, with interests in building

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field in Maine or as a Maine resident attending out-of-state school
• Interest in building and modern construction site management
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team, learn new skills, and take on responsibilities
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent customer service and collaboration
• Good organization and accuracy
• Carpentry and construction management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents on current Wright-Ryan commercial projects
• Gain hands-on field and office exposure in a Large Commercial Division
• Learn project engineering and field engineering workflows for future roles

Job Overview

Imagine spending your summer in our dynamic Large Commercial Division, where you'll get hands‑on experience in both fieldwork and office tasks. It's the perfect introduction to the construction industry, setting you up for a career as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer after graduation.

We currently have internship opportunities in our Large Commercial Division for Sophomores and Juniors in Construction Management programs. You will work alongside Project Managers and Superintendents on current Wright‑Ryan commercial projects based on your skills, experience, and areas of interest.

Position Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in a construction related field at a school in Maine or a current Maine resident attending an out-of-state school
• Interest in building and modern construction jobsite management
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team, learn new skills, and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner verbally and in writing
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
• Good organizational skills and attention to pace and accuracy
• Previous carpentry and construction management skills are a plus

Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 Hourly
